Rainbow

Camera: E-1
Program: Manual
ISO: 200
Aperture: f11.0
Shutter: 1/500
Focal length: 50mm (100mm equiv.)

I ran the adjustment brush in Lightroom over the rainbow to increase the saturation but now it looks a little dodgy. Didn't really need to either as it was already wonderfully vibrant. The E-1 produces the best colour with it's Kodak sensor. I <3 my E-1!

My 5 year old daughter actually took this one

Camera: E-1
Program: Manual
ISO: 200
Aperture: f4.0
Shutter: 1/320
Focal length: 130mm (65mm equiv.)

Yes my 5 year old actually took this one, lol! But I will count it as my photo of the day because I did set it up for her on the tripod - I just told her when to release the shutter ;) She had heaps of fun and we got lots and lots of cute shots of her baby sis!
Unfortunately there is nowhere in the yard that was all shade, just patches under trees were as good as we could find.

E is for Easter Eggs

Camera: E-1
ISO: 100
Program: Aperture priority
Aperture: f3.3
Shutter: 1/250
Focal length: 117mm

Thought I would try selective colour here for something a little more interesting although I'm not really a fan of it. I used the adjustment brush in Lightroom to do it - would be quicker in Photoshop but the computer with PS on it is no more. Which is ok because I only ever used it once in a blue moon.
DOF is all wacky in this image - still not accustomed to just how shallow a DOF I can still achieve from quite a distance with my new 50-200mm.

ISO 3200

Camera: E-1
ISO: 3200
Program: Manual
Aperture: f3.4
Shutter: 1/200
Focal length: 158mm

We were outside at dusk and I realised I hadn't taken today's photo - to take the opportunity to explore the noise level the E-1 produces at ISO 3200.
I deliberately underexposed the shot in camera, and then brought the exposure back up around 1.5 stops in Lightroom to accentuate the grain/digital noise. The compression here means it is not so obvious but viewing the full-size version the noise is quite bad!
To see it better, here is a 1:2 crop of the image. The first shows the digital noise/grain out of the camera. The second shows the same image with basic noise reduction applied in Adobe Lightroom.

Clever Girl

Camera: E-1
ISO: 100
Program: Manual
Aperture: f3.2
Shutter: 1/4000

I exposed for Jemima for this shot, who had the strong afternoon sun on her back, throwing the background into shadow.
Isn't she clever! She started pulling herself up on things a few days ago. Six and-a-half months.
